The company was founded in 1995 as Professional Flight Transport, Inc., dba Professional Air Charter as an FAA approved Part 135 air carrier. In 2009, Windsor Jet received FAA approval to add “10 or more operations” to their air carrier certificate and subsequently began adding heavy jet aircraft to their fleet. The company was later re-branded under the new name, “Windsor Jet Management.”
